Grandpa and Grandma Alvarez came down for a visit in the end of May . We went for a walk up Big Cottonwood Canyon, around a lake, called Silver Lake. It was real pretty. Not too many flowers were out, and there was still a little bit of snow about. Everyone had to carry me and my stroller up and over two snow drifts that were over the path. The neat thing about the hike, is that is where mom and her friend Tom went when mom was about 7 months pregnant with me!

I have great memories of Silver Lake. Nearly every time I went up there I had a close encounter with a moose. What a lucky kid to get to grow up with access to such a pristine and beautiful environment!
